On-Demand Webinar
Navigating the Changing OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard & CMS Vaccine Mandates
About this Webinar
The Supreme Court’s recent decision to uphold the CMS mandate for healthcare workers to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus in several states, including Illinois, has potentially devastating financial consequences for Federally Qualified Health Centers if they fail to comply. Providers and suppliers that support FQHCs must also comply, unless exempt, which is likely to put an additional strain on already limited resources.
FQHCs participating in Medicare and Medicaid must ensure their employees are fully vaccinated by March 15, 2022. With the deadlines fast approaching, we will review the core requirements of the ETS mandate and how CMS will review compliance based on the guidance issued to state surveyors specifically for FQHCs.
According to public and written statements by CMS, facilities that have vaccination rates under 100% constitute non-compliance. In this webinar, we will discuss the methods to meet the strict guidelines and provide additional insight regarding tools that will help to get you organized.
The discussion will conclude with a brief review of EEOC laws and the importance of preventing discrimination by creating policies and best practices for applying a reasonable accommodation. The webinar speaker will provide a balanced view of the issues presented so healthcare leaders can be more informed when making ETS implementation decisions.
