About this Webinar

“There is only one way to eat an elephant - one bite at a time.”

A healthcare compliance task list is endless — especially if you know improvement is needed. To prove your value and protect the organization, ruthless prioritization is needed.

But, where do you start?

Veteran compliance officer Suzi Gausman has led the revitalization of several compliance programs in recent years. In this webinar, she shares how she “eats the elephant.” From reducing risks around revenue generation to increasing efficiency, Suzi helps get your priorities in order so compliance can shine in your organization. As a current CEO with a master’s degree in health administration and a law degree in regulatory compliance, Suzi has unique insight into what leaders and boards want to hear about compliance and what they will view as success.

Watch the webinar recording now for:

  • A plan for prioritizing compliance improvements.
  • New perspectives on governance and policy.
  • Ideas to make an immediate impact on your organization.
  • A strategy to secure funding for the tools you need.
  • And so much more!

Suzi Gausman, MJ, MHA, CHC

CEO, Nebraska Orthopaedic Center

Suzi currently serves as the CEO of Nebraska Orthopaedic Center in Lincoln, NE.  She is relatively new to this role after a healthcare career as a health system compliance director, a multispecialty clinic VP of Compliance and Engagement, and an internal medicine clinic executive director.

“It is important for me to understand how what I do in compliance contributes to excellence in patient care. Some people see compliance programs as limiting, but I see them as freeing! When policies and procedures are a well thought out and standard part of everyday operations, patients are safer, and employees and physicians are free to do what they do best.”

Good systems allow good teams to thrive, and Suzi devotes her career to a collaborative approach to developing good systems.

Suzi lives in Lincoln, NE with her husband Paul.  They have two grown and married kids that are an incredible source of joy!  While not working to improve healthcare processes for both patients and providers, Suzi loves to jam with her garage band (“not for public consumption”), head out in her kayak, or participate in any number of fun fitness activities.
